My Speech Project

I thought the speech powerpoint project was a little challenging, and not very fun. It wasn't that bad, but it was hard to find facts about speech without interviewing Mr. Mathews, the speech teacher. There were so many different pictures on mine, Nicks, and Michaels, so the Works Cited slide was pretty full. I probably wouldn't want to do this project again, but it will be easier once we interview. It will be easier because we will get more facts from someone who actually teaches speech, so we won't have to go to an internet site for it. I'm definately excited to interview.

Name/about me project

I thought this project was really fun to work with. I loved learning new thing about Imovie like cropping and fitting and coloring. I also learned how to put music onto my project. It was a good way of showing everyone my interests and things about my family. I really liked learning that I can make a video. It was fun and I'd love to do it again. Something I found cool was finding objects that look like letters. Some of the objects were cd's, candles, fishhooks, tree branches, and others. Now that I know how to work Imovie, I will probably make more movies and things like that.

Charity appeal letter

I thought that this charity appeal letter was kind of an easy project. The way you can put names from excel to the word document without re-typing it in the word document. I thought that was really cool. It was interesting looking online for sample letters and seeing all of the different ones there are. It's a good thing to do to give something to places like that, so i think it has kind of inspired people to give to charities and have fundraisers like that. I would like to do something like this later in life, because i think it's a great thing to do. It is really cool learning about all of the features that all of the microsoft apps have like excel, office, powerpoint, and word.

M&M Project

I thought that the M&M project was relatively easy. The hardest part for me was the pie chart. I thought it was difficult to change the numbers to colors. It helped me learn about how microsoft excel works. The easiest part was sorting the candy into the different colors. It was also easy to write all of the facts down on the excel. I thought that the Auto Sum button was pretty cool. It added up all of the numbers so I didn't have to calculate them in my head. It was a cool feature that saved some time. I really liked this project, and would like to work with the graphs again soon.

expectations

I think that Mrs. Brown's tech class will have a lot of projects and we will learn a lot about how to work these Mac Books.  I think we are going to work with all of the different applications. I am excited to do some of these projects because i would like to know more and more about these laptops. I think it's going to be somewhat challenging, but fun at the same time. After being seated in groups of four, i am thinking we are going to do a lot of group work. I hope to learn how to edit things on a video and a picture. I know a lot about computers, but i think with tech class I will be able to learn a lot more.
